Cooking Class and Perugia Chocolate Tour

€160/person minimum 4 participants

The tour starts with a cooking class at Alla Madonna del Piatto near Assisi.

After the cooking class, treat yourself to a guided visit of an artisan chocolate-making facility near Perugia (NB. transport is not included).

Umbria and chocolate have a long love story. Perugia, Umbria’s capital, is known worldwide for the Baci Perugina,  a well-known chocolate confectionery filled with hazelnut and wrapped in a multilingual love note. The Baci have been created in 1922 by Umbrian businesswoman Luisa Spagnoli.

Every year Perugia hosts Eurocholate, one of the largest chocolate festivals in Europe attracting nearly one million tourists and Italian natives each year.

At Festa Tour we prefer to taste chocolate away from the crowds and produced by local chocolate makers rather than made in a large factory.

After the cooking class in the countryside, you will enjoy a relaxed afternoon visit of a top Umbrian confectioner and chocolate maker atelier.

You will sample handmade chocolates and learn more about where chocolate comes from and how it’s made.

You will also have the option to visit the artisan's beautiful shop before you depart and bring home exceptionally delicious souvenirs of your visit.
