Do you provide car rental?

No, we recommend renting a car either in Foligno or at Perugia main train station (Fontivegge)

Can I tour on public transport?

Umbria is a rural region and while most towns and villages can be reached by train or bus, it's generally hardly possible to visit the countryside (e.g. a winery) by public transport. We recommend renting a car with GPS or hiring private transport.

Do I need travel insurance?

Yes, we always recommend travel insurance in case of accidents, delays and cancellations. Please see our T&C to know more our cancellation policies.

Why don't you list your tours in dollars?

I see your prices are listed in euros. So why is my card being charged in dollars? Why don't you list in dollars?
Festa Tours is based in Europe, that's why prices on our website are listed in euro. Your credit card company however will charge you in your home currency
. For an estimate of our prices in your own currency, please use the "Convert Currency" link in the Footer of this page.

The weather is bad, can I cancel the tour?

Most of our tours run rain or shine. A few of our tours involving outdoor activities might be canceled if the weather is dramatic. On these occasions we will try to contact you in advance.

What’s the difference between a a ‘private’ and ‘group’ tour?

A group tour is one where you join a group of other travelers for day tour and activities. Our groups are usually maximum 10-12 people, although they are generally smaller, particularly on day trips and cooking classes. The average number of participants for a cookery class is 6.

Because our groups are so small, you will still have plenty of opportunities to interact with your guide and to take part to all the preparation process during a class. Group tours are also more cost-effective than a private tour, which is when you pay to have your own personal tour (and/or class or transfer) just for you and your travel companions.
